CARTER SESSION/COVER

Postby Peter » Fri Dec 16, 2005 11:03 am

Has anyone got an mp3 of ''He'll have to go''? It was recorded on a radio 1 session around 93/94. I did have this on cassette tape but have sadly lost it...

Xmas Cheers

Peter

Think thats the only track i'm missing, counting fruity's christmas pressie!

it was on a website (handbuilt?) at some point but only as a .ra and I couldn't play it. If it turns up I'd like a copy too.

Are there any more obscure covers out there?

I finally stuck all my Carter/jim/abdou stuff on my mp3 the other day.
The randomiser threw up "Were In Trouble". Id totally forgotten youd done that as well.
Gave me a big smile all the way home.
Cant remember who did it originally. Two girls I think

Yeah it was Shampoo. Wouldn't mind hearing the Carter take on it!
Found this on another site:
Carter USM : Uh oh we're in trouble (Shampoo). Carter have always been one of my favourite bands purely because of their sense of humour (24 minutes to Tulse Hill, Granny Farming in the UK). Fine tongue in cheek cover.

Its a bside on CD1 of the young offenders mum. Really is very good.
I always liked the fact Carter released singles with new songs and didnt stick 5 demos/remixes etc of the same song on them.
My faves gotta be Down at the tube station at midnight although Ive only got that on vinyl and have no record player :(
My only fault is that Im perfect.

The earlier covers are on the This Is The Sound Of An Electric Guitar import cd.
