Intros? INTROS? there's no discussion about intros! It's either Robin Hood (riding through the glen), Wonder Woman, or nothing!!! Ok, technically, that's a discussion, but you get my point!

I just can't wait to hear all those people shouting "You Fat Bastard" sniff, all those people singing to me! I feel so special, sniff.

We could make Thorsten a carter puppet theatre and then he could operate it by strings from the other end of his bedroom and play his records along (he can if he wishes have a cardboard cut out sea of heads or not to make it more authentic).

Would you're work not make an exception for a family wedding in November if you gave them enough notice?
I can provide other work based excuse lies you may try if necessary?

Well, faking a sickie would be another good one. Surely there's time to get there and back, using 1 day of sick-leave at most?

Hi mekaine,

I have already thought about a number of options. Even the lies thingy.

I'd love to tell you a true story of a former colleague. He travelled to Madrid to see Bayern Munich playing against Real at Bernabeu.

All fine and dandy, but unfortunately he experienced evil stomach pain three hours before the match and had to go to hospital. It turned out to be an appendix inflammation and they kept him to get this darn piece of bowel out of him.

Right after his return he was fired. (Yeah, call me a liar, but it happend exactly that way. Forget television, the best stories writes life itself.)

I'm not in the position to gamble with my current job.

To reach London is no big deal. My hometown is just 20 minutes away from the Dortmund Airport and flights are between 50 and 90 €. If I'd book them today even cheaper, thanks to Easyjet (9.99€, 19.99 €).

Fly in on Friday, check in at the hotel or B&B, have some beers, see the gig, have some beers, buy some merch, have some beers, talk to some Carter folks, have some beers, return to the hotel or B&B, have some beers and fly back home with a fiendish headache and an everlasting smile on my face on Saturday would be something about 250€, maybe 300€.

That's affordable, especially when you keep in mind that there's still a whole lot of time.

Yours,

Thorsten.

You can always justify these things.

I once spent a weeks wages to see the boys play in Belgium. Didn't have much on, thought it'd be a bit of a lark, got paid weekly so i knew I'd only be poor monday to friday (I think I lived purely on sandwiches and toast all week). I took the friday off and gently made my way from home to ostend in the first night, gentle trip up to Brussels the next day, saw the gig (and more bizarrely met up with several friends!), spent the night walking around or bar hoping & drinking and caught the first train back to ostend in the morning.

If all that would just affect myself, I'd do EVERYTHING, incl. hi-jacking a plane to get to London in time or shooting my boss to make sure his funeral would be on 02/11. (Or just tell him that he can kiss my bum, to make the whole thingy a little less complicated.)

Anyway, let's see what I can do.

have tried to be objective about this - there's stuff on her that I personally would nt choose above other tracks (GI Blues never as good as the final comedown for a final song) but ya know people paid their money got to be fair and for alot the material is going to be weighetd to the early part of their career even though road rage, johnny cash etc are some of their best stuff most are going to wnat to hear stuff from first 3 albums....

Intro tape - The keep fit tape they used to play in 1989/1990! The irony for the audience and the first song....
