Wher seek-link on your site!!!

OK.

I thought if I left this alone, someone would answer. That way, I wouldn't have to feel quite as stupid for having no idea whatsoever what JellyBelly was gibbering about

Is it a talking web spider?

Is it the return of CCiB?

Is it Penry, the mild-mannered janitor?

Actually, Skywest, all might not be lost

Bear with me here....

Listen - Tids online. He is dead clever. He'll know what this is all about. He can tell us, and we can wing it from there. We might just get away with being hip and techno-savvy after all....

Shhh. Don't tell anyone, right?

Sorry, can't help.

The latest batch of PhD students has turned up, and I realise they were born in 1987 or something. This makes me now far too old to be "down wit' da yoot"

However, XRumer is software that automates link building by submitting links to blogs and forums. Apparently.

It's spammy stuff, that's all we need to know. This post about it is of course also spam. I typed "JellyDreamas" into google, and you'd be amazed just how many forums he/she, or actually it, has time to visit read and leave comments on!

Google is a good substitute for knowing stuff I have to say  If only I'd had access to it during my A-level exams :?

ah that one fooled me, I have been getting loads of attempted spam infiltration, but I thought that Mr or Mrs Bean was genuine. I will cull that particular forum member.

It's worth culling this thread too, as the link to the post is what's used for the actual link-building. (the same spam came up on the Freeverse forum today as well).

Right, I'm going to claim ignorance too.
So it's a talking web spider doing some link building. Why? I assume there's some financial benefit and if there is money to be made from posting bollocks on forums - why aren't we all millionaires?
