Apart from my OU module guides, I have - as per normal - about three books on the go, which I pick up depending what mood I am in. Currently on my bedside table are:

"Guns and Gangs" by Graeme McLagan. A fascinating and detailed insight into how gun crime culture evolved in the UK (predominantly Brixton area), and the rivalry between UK and Jamaican black gangs. It also covers the work of the Met's Trident Teams who try to combat the gangs.

"I, Partridge: We Need To Talk About Alan" by Alan Partridge. 'Nuff said. Funnier than the film

"Confessions of a Sociopath: A Life Spent Hiding In Plain Sight" by M.E. Thomas
Fascinating and candid account, lifted from a blog. Worryingly I find many similarities with my own personality...

And Another Thing was terrible.

I finished reading ALL the discworld books this year. May re-read them next year just for the hell of it, very good reading.

Right now I'm reading Christopher Brookmyre, the one with the Sensational Alex Harvey robbers. Can't remember the title off hand. Again.

Since I can do very little bit lie down in silence at the moment, I've been reading quite a bit since Brixton.
Re-read Eliot Perlmann's The Street Sweeper, which I urge everyone to buy immediately. I couldn't possibly do it justice if I tried to explain why.
Read The Visionist by Rachel Urquhart, which was quite good.
Re-read The Extra Ordinary Life of Frank Derrick by some fella called J.B. Morrison. That was enjoyable the second time, except I still feel bad for Bill. I hope he has a better time of it in the sequel. Perhaps there could be a romance between him and a neighbour's high-class Tonkinese.
Currently re-reading Wilkie Collins' The Woman in White because it's awesome, I love Wilkie Collins' tough heroines and his books are ridiculously long, which is essential when all I can do is pop pills and read day and night.
