Carter USM to reform? Is it true?

Postby Phil » Mon Jan 22, 2007 6:59 pm

Sunday March 4th, Islington Academy, London for a tribute to Wiz from Mega City Four.

For 4 songs, or maybe more now that Pot Kettle Black have pulled out, so I read from another forum, based on a message on Gerry Bryant's myspace page.

Well, gentlemen, is it true?

Kev and Tim from the Family Cat run a nifty little music scheme for kids in Cornwall. I saw Kev most recently when he was in London and he came along to one of the Jim Bob Barfly gigs. I love(d) the Family Cat.

I'm not sure when and how we're supposed to mention the March 4th gig. I didn't want to say anything until it was officially announced. I will say that our contribution to the evening is not really a reunion, but me and Les playing Carter songs is technically Carter though, so maybe it is. Or does the drum machine need to be there for that? Mmmm.

We wanted to be involved in something that recognised how significant the Megas were to us and how sad it is to lose a lovely man like Wiz.

More news when I have some.

What songs will Carter USM play though? That will be interesting.
The predictable 4 songs would be:
Sheriff Fatman
After the Watershed
The only living boy in New Cross
Rubbish

Are you planning on having a full band for the gig or will it be an acoustic set?
Impressive...most impressive...

Is that the final line up now Marc, or are there more bands to come?
